Highly motivated self-driven researcher in machine learning/ hybrid modeling to lead analytics projects addressing key challenges for different GE businesses.
As a lead data scientist, you will be a technical lead on projects to invent and develop predictive modeling and decision technologies for diverse GE businesses such as GE Aviation, GE Power and GE Healthcare. You will deliver machine learning and/or hybrid (physics + ML) models, applications and solutions on data science programs for these businesses.
We are looking for accomplished machine learning scientists with 6+ years of experience, track record of leading technical projects, and demonstrated ability to apply machine learning technologies to solve applied problems. Candidates should hold an MTech or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Electrical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines with an excellent academic record and practical experience with recent advances in mathematical & computational sciences and statistical modeling. The candidate should have a demonstrated strong foundation in probability, statistical theory with a deep understanding of statistical estimation, hypothesis testing, linear and logistic regression. A solid grounding in machine learning including expertise in at least one of the following is a must: Deep Learning, Random Forest, statistical classification, cluster analysis, time series analysis, forecasting and multivariate statistics. Possessing strong Implementation and Programming Skills in one or more of Java, Python, R, Python is a must. Prior experience working with applying physics or domain knowledge along with ML techniques is highly desirable. Proven ability to lead projects and willingness to learn new domains and work in multi-disciplinary global teams
