The hotel has 147 guest rooms with spectacular outdoor Jacuzzis, three restaurants and a bar, a fitness centre and spa, an infinity swimming pool a business centre, and two meeting rooms. Over a 1000 guests can be accommodated in cocktail/reception style in Bern, the largest pillar-free banqueting facility of over 7000 square feet, apart from 3 breakout halls of over 650 square feet each.
The hotel has separate smoking (7th & 8th floors) and non-smoking floors (4th, 5th, 6th, 9th & 10th floors), free internet in areas except the banquets, and is noted for its unique offering of Swiss hospitality and attention to detail.

Main duties :
  • Offer beverage suggestions at every opportunity to increase the revenue of the department.
  • Keep a close check and control on the staff so as prevent any abuse of food and beverage intended for functions.
  • To ensure all casual labour employed being monitored closely on their conduct.
  • To supervise on all staff involve in the set up performs their job carefully, in order to minimize any breakages or damages.
  • Ensure that all function is well –organized so as to increase the profitability of the department.
  • Able to come up with a good solutions or suggestions in resolving on the losses and breakages problems.
  • Assist and ensure the set up of the function room is according to the requirements as outlined by the Banquet Manager.
  • Ensure that all pre requisitions for the functions are counter checked correct and ready for the setting up when the time arrives.
  • To meet up with the host of the event and to tie down the details before event comments.
  • Coordinate with the guest/host and chef to have a clear understanding of the menu served for the day so as to avoid confusion an error or disruption of service procedures.
  • Respond to guest complaints or demands immediately with tact and sincerity. Keep the Banquet Manager informed of guests incidents during or after the function.
  • Conduct roll call of the function to the server before the function begins, highlighting special pointers where necessary.
  • Conduct routine check within the function area before each function and ensure all mise-en place are done correctly and well.
  • Check and control the timing of meal courses during function.No omission or errors in the process service should occur.If it does occur , resolve the problem promptly.
Qualification: B.Sc. in Hotel Management
